Hailey Bieber's 20+ Tattoo Collection Is Filled With Tiny Designs

The double chevrons on Bieber's right pinky are as dainty as finger tattoos come. It was done by JonBoy at the Revolve Festival in April 2017.

Fine-line symbols and small script words seem to be two of Bieber's favorite ink styles, and that continues to ring true with the "seek" tattoo on the back of her neck. The vertical placement gives it an extremely minimal vibe, though the word likely means a lot to the model. JonBoy's caption includes a hashtag for the popular Hillsong Church, where Bieber and her husband are active members.

While some people are apprehensive to commit to hand tattoos, Bieber goes all in. On Aug. 24, 2016, she had JonBoy tattoo the letter "K" on her left hand and "3:30" on her right hand. While the meaning behind the "K" is unclear, JonBoy's Instagram caption suggests that "3:30" is a nod to the bible verse John 3:30.

Some people wear their hearts on their sleeves, but Bieber chose to place this tiny piece (which she calls her "favorite lil tatt") on her collarbone in 2018. Another fine-line masterpiece by JonBoy, it's the perfect balance of subtle and sweet.

Judging by the almost-invisible placement of this tattoo, "UNSEEN" seems pretty fitting. Yet another design by JonBoy, Bieber added the word to her spine in 2016.

Although Bieber is a longtime client of JonBoy, she's no stranger to sitting in the chair of another popular celeb tattoo artist: Dr. Woo. Inking the likes of Zoë Kravitz, Drake, and Miley Cyrus, he's known for his detailed fine-line designs — and this intricate hand tattoo is the perfect example. It's complemented by Bieber's preexisting chevron designs, and a small cursive "B."

While we don't know the exact motivation behind Bieber's "Minas Gerais" tattoo, what we do know is that it's the name of a state in Brazil. JonBoy inked the script words onto her outer left ankle in 2015.

Getting tiny hearts with Kendall Jenner isn't the only time Bieber has opted for matching ink. In May of 2016, she did something similar with close friend and fellow model Mari Fonseca, tapping JonBoy to tattoo "gente" on their bodies. For placement, Bieber chose her left hip, while Fonseca went for the left side of her back.

As a tribute to her faith, Bieber got a small cross tattooed on her neck in 2018. Per usual, she enlisted JonBoy's fine-line work to add the piece to her collection.

For Bieber's second tattoo collab with Kendall Jenner, things went a little differently. This time, Jenner actually designed the ink (executed by JonBoy, of course), choosing to split the four-letter word "PRAY" into two parts. With "PR" on Bieber's left hand and "AY" on her right, the word comes together when Bieber quite literally puts her hands together in a praying motion.

In February 2019, Bieber returned to JonBoy's Times Square studio to add a small diamond to her tattoo collection. The ink is tucked nicely between her right ear and hairline, making it equally simple to hide and show off, depending on her hairstyle.

At an unknown date, Bieber paid a visit to Dr. Woo to add the words "New York" in a delicate script font under her diamond neck tattoo. The celebrity tattooist shared a picture of the ink on Instagram as a throwback, but he didn't disclose exactly when he gave it to her.

Take a scroll through Bieber's Instagram, and you'll see she's a fan of low-backed clothing. You'll also notice that the revealing cut perfectly frames a tattoo that reads "coeur d'alene." A quick google search might make you think the piece is for a city in Idaho, but it actually has a more personal meaning. "Coeur" translates to "heart" in French, while "Alene" is reportedly the middle name of Bieber's sister Alaia.

About a year and a half after getting her cross tattoo, Bieber chose to complement it with another another piece slightly lower on her neck. Returning to Dr. Woo this time, the tattoo reads "lover" in a stunning soft script.

In October of 2020, Bieber paid a visit to celebrity tattoo artist Mr. K for two new tattoos. One of a cursive "J" on her ring finger for her husband Justin Bieber and the other of the word "beleza" in script on the side of her neck which means "beauty" in Portuguese.

Sometime in 2023 it appears Bieber added a tiny mushroom tattoo to the back of her right arm, just above her elbow. The design is in all-black ink. Though its meaning is unclear, her husband, Justin Bieber, often wears mushrooms on his clothing.
